Weight Loss Update: 07/15/12

The numbers for this weigh-in period are:

The scale reports I've lost another 6.0 pounds in the past two weeks, bringing my current weight to 287 pounds and my total weight loss to 199 pounds.  This is slightly higher than my goal of losing 1% body weight per week, and puts me slightly ahead of that 1% per week goal as measured from February 8th, 2012 when I first set that as a long-term goal.
The past two weeks have been very busy for me, getting ready for a camping trip and then spending most of last week out camping at the ocean.  It has been years since I've been in good enough shape to go camping.  I didn't do any structured exercise...  no DDP-Yoga, no walking only for the sake of exercise, no biking.  Yet the activity of camping, hiking on the beaches, hauling driftwood for the campfire, not only made up for my regular exercise but also made up for some excesses in food consumption during the week, allowing me to easily exceed my 1% per week goal.
Life is great, and barring something unforeseen I should sail through the 200 pound mark this week. I have no celebration planned for the occasion, as living life and doing the things I now can is more than celebration enough!
 Happy Eating!

  2. Each time I read your blog I am reminded that "slow and steady wins the race." Not that you are going slow by any means, but I think in my mind slow means consistent. One of the greatest avenues of success is finding what works and doing it over and over each day. I am so happy to follow with you and watch as you attain your goals for well-being. You inspire me.
